I am a final-year Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. I am interested in using astronomy to study both Axion-Like Particles, as yet undetected particles that could be part of the Dark Matter in the Universe and Supermassive Black Holes, found at the centres of galaxies. Since the start of my Ph.D. in 2020 I have been working with Prof Chris Reynolds and Dr James Matthews and I plan to submit my doctoral thesis in the first part of 2024.

After growing up in the Spanish island of Mallorca, in 2016 I moved to the UK to study for an MPhys (Hons) in Physics at The University of Manchester. For my Master's thesis, supervised by Prof Scott Kay, I made analytic predictions of the thermal Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect based on different cluster pressure profiles.

When I am not doing research, I like to spend time organising and participating in EDI and Outreach activities. I also enjoy hiking and dancing Cuban salsa and bachata. Some of the extracurricular roles I have filled since arriving at the Institute of Astronomy include representing graduate students and leading the organisation of International Women's Day in 2022 and 2023. I participate in public engagement events aimed at encouraging both children and adults to take an interest in astronomy and science. As a member of the graduate community at Newnham College, Cambridge, I have organised a series of seminars with external speakers in different disciplines.

I speak English, Catalan and Spanish.
